The team is part of Akamai's Micro-Segmentation Security group. We build the leading zero-trust platform that disrupts the security market. Our team is new, our challenges are significant, and our culture is awesome, Join us!

Join the Kernel Team!

You will spend most time developing our agent's netfilter-based kernel module for Linux and WFP-based kernel-mode driver for Windows. The driver is written in C, and the tests for it are written in C and Python.

In this role you will be-

• Enforcing the highest standards for code quality and stability, including code review and several kinds of automated tests.
• Optimizing a lot of emphasis on performance, hooking single packets, which is in the nanosecond scale, requires performance-boosting projects whenever our customers' demands scale up.
• Researching what is possible and how, by poring over the Linux kernel source code.
• Reading the Windows kernel documentation through and through (and reverse-engineering Windows whenever the documentation is missing or lying).
• Debugging the toughest and most customer-critical bugs.
  
  

Do What You Love

To be successful in this role you will-

• 5 years experience in system programming in C.
• Experience in the low-level / OS internals of either Windows or Linux.
• Experience in networking, especially layers 3-7- From theoretical understanding of TCP/IP to practical development with sockets.
• Experience in debugging complex problems in low-level / OS internals code.
