R&D Operations & Project Manager

ASTERRA is actively seeking a highly motivated individual to join our R&D department as an R&D Operations and Project Manager. This role plays a crucial part in contributing to our innovative endeavors.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the R&D Gantt chart, developing and executing an annual work plan while meticulously analyzing and documenting objectives, deliverables, schedules, and tasks.
• Optimization, documentation and formalization of internal R&D processes and workflows, fostering a culture of continuous improvement by implementing enhancements and efficiencies.
• Continuously monitor and track department and team’s KPIs.
• Assume a proactive role in shaping technical strategies and actively participate in strategic decisions driving the growth and evolution of R&D teams.
• Provide guidance and support to R&D teams in the execution of tasks and achievement of project milestones.
• Collaborate closely with our VP of R&D and the team leaders of the R&D department to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
• Coordinate internal status reporting for the R&D, Product and Executive level.
• Lead the department knowledge conservation processes and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Geography, Geology, or other related field.
• Minimum of one year of project management experience, including proficiency in task and project management software.
• Top of Form
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (WORD, EXCEL, POWERPOINT).
• High proficiency in English.

Desirable Requirements:

• Proven experience with Jira or equivalent software development task management systems.
• Familiarity with geospatial data and industry.
• Previous experience collaborating with product development groups.
• Past involvement in working with software development groups.
