Medical device mechanical engineer

CarboFix is a fast-growing company engaged in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of innovative trauma and spine orthopedic implants. The company specializes in orthopedic implants made of continuous carbon fiber-reinforced polymer.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Medical Device Mechanical Engineer located in Herzliya, responsible for designing and developing medical device products. In this role, you will be in charge of developing, testing, and implementing products and ensuring that they meet the requirements of the company and regulatory authorities. You will be required to work closely with other engineers, scientists, and medical professionals, focusing on safety, quality, and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
• At least 5 years of proven experience in medical device development, with a focus on mechanical design and development
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Familiarity with medical device regulations and standards such as ISO 13485 and FDA CFR 820
• Familiarity with FEA, stress analysis, and material selection
• Experience with product testing, verification, and validation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Experience with carbon fiber and polymer materials is a plus
