Cloud Operations / SRE (#1483)

As a Cloud Operations/SRE at The Center for Education Technology, you will play a vital role in a production-oriented mission. This involves the freedom to utilize a diverse set of tools to ensure system stability and implement new standardization measures.

Responsibilities

• Architecting and developing infrastructure systems, crafting automated solutions to streamline operational processes.
• Overseeing the management, maintenance, monitoring, and support of production environments to uphold optimal performance.
• Delivering operational support for day-to-day activities, encompassing the development and deployment of services.
• Collaborating closely with developers, DevOps, and IT teams to troubleshoot intricate issues and provide expert consultation in response to alerts.
• Operating seamlessly across various teams, notably in operations and development, by constructing reliable systems and offering steadfast support.
• Orchestrating and overseeing the deployment and management of large-scale cloud-based systems.
• Contributing to the design and implementation of robust, highly available, and scalable production infrastructure.
• Ensuring and maintaining high uptime and reliability in the production environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum experience of 2 years as SRE/DevOps/Cloud Administrator
• Experience with cloud services, particularly Azure (the deeper understanding, the better).
• Former experience with application monitoring tools especially with Dynatrace and PRTG
• Self-motivated and self-directed.
• Sharp customer-oriented skills.
• Excellent interpersonal abilities.
• Understanding of network security principles
• Ability to solve problems, design, document, and learn on the go.
• Fluent in Hebrew and English
• Hands-on experience with Linux and Windows platforms
• Proficient in script development using languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.
• Motivated self-learner
• Demonstrates outstanding written and verbal communication abilities, adept at conveying technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

• Proven Jenkins skills
• Proven Kubernetes skills
• Development capabilities in at least one of the languages Python/Nodejs/Java
• Proven experience in installations, configurations, and maintenance of server technologies.
• Hands-on, proven, experience with two or more scripting languages (such as/Bash /Python).
• Proven experience in configuration management tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc
