Drafter

Actalent is currently looking for a drafter to join our team!

• Description:*
• Diligently review and understand customer design drawings & specifications.
• Layout and check clearances and interferences
• Detail erection drawings and shop drawings for submittal
• Build assembly Bills of Material
• Support purchasing and shop with nesting, templates, running dimensions, etc.
• Orderly assignment of part numbers and organized filing system for all drawings
• Accurate and timely completion of detailing work
• Skills:* Drafting, steel design, autodesk inventor, bill of material, structural design, Autocad, Steel detailer, Structural steel
• Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
• Associates degree or certificate in Drafting or Engineering Technology
• 2+ years experience in the structural or industrial field
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Strong 3D modeling & CAD skills
• Experience with Autodesk Inventor or Tekla Structures
• Basic understanding of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel shapes
• Basic understanding of AISC Detailing Standards
• Experience Level:* Intermediate Level
