In order to strengthen our team in Israel, we are currently looking to recruit a:
Risk Manager
The job holder is responsible for directly assisting HSBC Israel's Chief Risk & Compliance Officer in managing the bank's Risk Governance and Operational and Resilience Risks in accordance with local regulations and HSBC Risk Management Framework.
Role responsibilities:
- Facilitate risk governance bodies to allow effective country wide risk governance.
- Maintain and enhance adequate country wide risk governance culture, also by way of attending the wider Branch governance forums and ad-hoc projects.
- Maintain an effective operational risk framework in the Country, in line with Group Standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Oversee and coordinate the risk governance committees and processes for all ongoing, monthly, quarterly, and annual tasks.
- Assess and report the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal control environment.
- Undertake standardised Country reporting including operational risk heatmaps, dashboards, KRIs etc.
- Conduct ad-hoc assurance reviews.
- Reputational Risk management.
- Role holder must be located in Israel with fluent business English and Hebrew.
- Proven banking experience with an understanding of banking activities, products, processes and systems.
- Sound understanding of the different risk areas.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory environment in the financial services sector.
- Previous work experience in Control / Risk / Audit / Compliance roles.
- Able to conceptualize the operational impact of business change.
- Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
- Ability to understand complex concepts and provide streamline solutions.
- Relevant academic degree.
