We are looking for a System Architect!

Edge AI software Architect will be engaged in architecture definition and design of Sony innovative Edge AI solutions. You will work with a highly complex System on Chips solutions, incorporating cutting edge AI/ML technologies, to build and optimize the design for real-time operation and low power consumption.

At Sony, Edge AI software Architect collaborates with Product, Marketing, Silicon, Hardware, Firmware and Software Engineering teams across organization to ensure harmony between all system components. Whenever needed, our Architects collaborate with business and technical representatives located on different Sony sites, as well as with Sony partners and customers – providing explanations, discussing considerations, and finding solutions to our product’s needs.

System architects take a pivotal role in our design process, you will compile macro architectures, software/hardware partitioning, interfaces, and other system-level considerations. You will write documents and requirements, and visit the lab and engineers’ desks, diving into details while maintaining the big picture. In addition to bringing a high-level of expertise in relevant domains and superb system understanding, you’ll need to bring a love for teamwork, learning, and a can-do attitude. You’ll work with the industry’s best on this tough but rewarding position!

Responsibilities:

• Be part of a team that defines and shapes next generation Sony Semiconductor products’ architecture
• Analyze the scope of supporting various image sensors, different AI models and countless usage scenarios, to define robust and highly efficient Edge AI software architecture
• Define requirements and high-level architecture for all software modules from the embedded systems up to high level applications and customer tools
• Define module interfaces and formats to ensure proper communication between all system components
• Prepare a detailed requirement documentation to formalize the scope of development to the finest details.
• Defining architecture validation plans and reviewing development results
• Closely collaborate with various stakeholders, including R&D and CTO teams
• Use a proactive approach to common challenges by continually researching for optimal solutions and improved user experience and product performance
  
  

• B.Sc degree in exact science. Master or PHD degree is an advantage
• Experience in SW design of embedded systems from semiconductor companies
• Deep knowledge of Imaging workflow, Image processing solution and Computer Vision technologies
• Hands on experience with AI/ML based products design and deployment is an advantage
• Experience with Image sensors, camera and ISP control, 3A algorithms and/or AI inference is an advantage
• Proven experience as SW architect with proficiency in embedded systems and real time OS knowledge.
• Background in modern software development methodologies, tools and development flows.
• Outstanding collaboration and communication skills are essential.
• Passion for working in a team of architects and specialists to develop new technology.
