Job description:

• Project Engineering/Deputy Project Management of projects involving various buildings typecast part of a larger multi-discipline teams,
• Managing a team of engineers and architects.
• Management budgets schedule and perform essential project support activities and functions.
• Preparation or review of project specifications and plans for Tender preparation.
• Preliminary and detailed coordination of Architectura/mechanical/civil/structural design of buildings.
• Help Develop quantity take-offs, engineering cost estimates for buildings projects.
• Liaison between the client team - WSP engineering team in various offices and Local sub consultants.
• Meet with clients, prepare deliverables, network with Client for Business Development.
• Work with the Office Manager and contribute to the overall business development of the jobsite.
• Help in preparation of technical reports/drawings/specifications.
• Help with the design calculations, modeling studies, drawings, reports, and project standards and specifications.

Requirements:

• Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical/Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited Engineering Program or an Architectural 5 year degree.
• 10+years of relevant post education experience in Construction management/ engineering discipline and prior Architectural/ mechanical, structural or civil design experience.
• Previous proven experience in managing Design management teams and Consultants teams, as well as managing budgets and reporting.
• Ability to work schedules conducive to project-specific requirements that may extend beyond the typical workweek.
• Knowledge with Architectural and engineering coordination principles, practices, process, , and the application to project work-related issues.
• Knowledge of relevant mechanical, structural, and civil construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
• Experience with planning and conducting inspections and investigations on various aspects of the construction and design of buildings, facilities, or structures, applying applicable regulations and policies.
• Capable interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.
• Effective self-leadership with attention to detail, results orientation, and managing multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
