NPI Engineer

In this position

As Subcontractor and NPI Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating work performed by subcontractors for meet the production schedule, determining material requirements from engineering development planning and coordinating the availability of materials, identifying and communicating material costs on new design activity, selecting new material suppliers who meet Hailo requirements for quality, delivery, technology, and cost and provide material risk feedback to design team.

Responsibilities:

• The NPI engineer will work alongside R&D engineers, engineering and logistic teams, accompanying the projects till the final stage
• Mediating between HW and Layout engineers to subcontractor and PCB manufacturer, taking decisions based on different factors.
• Issuing orders to suppliers according to demand and execution of BOM Simulation for board assembly plan per project.
• Working day by day with assembly houses on ENG boards production and supervising suppliers on time delivery, Investigate alternate suppliers with a focus on reducing cost and improving quality.
• Responsible for inventory control
• Managing ECO and BOMs change implementation.
• Support component selection and AVL by identifying risky component, process and supplier selections and suggesting alternate selections.
• Analyzing each project: special needs, quantities, technical requirements for NPI ENG boards, and must production.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• 5+ years of proven experience in leading complex, highly technology-intensive projects
• Experience with supply chain management
• Experience as a buyer or vendor management - PCBs, suppliers, and global market.
• Creative with initiative skills, goals oriented – meet goals and dates
• Microsoft Office tools - Excellent skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint tools
• Ability to function in a high-demand environment
• Fluent English – Reading & Writing.
• Negotiation experience with contract manufacturers and commodity suppliers is preferred.
• Sharp thinking, an eye for detail, and great decision-making skills
• Independent and proactive approach – being able to own a task but also to dive deep into the relevant details surrounding it
• Multitasking, organized, self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, good communication skills, and a team player
