Position Summary:

We are looking for a visionary VP RnD to guide our technical journey as we evolve into a developer-first embedded analytics leader. This role is vital in shaping our technology and architectural framework, ensuring Sisense remains at the forefront of the analytics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute the overall R&D strategy aligned with the company's business objectives.
• Provide visionary leadership to the R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
• Collaborate closely with product development teams to align the technology roadmap with business and product objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of R&D initiatives with overall business strategy.
• Foster effective communication and collaboration between R&D and other departments.
• Champion the adoption of advanced technologies and methodologies, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
• Drive the implementation of new technologies and methodologies to enhance product development processes.
• Advocate for software development best practices, including agile methodologies and continuous integration.
• Mentor and guide technical teams, promoting a culture of learning and professional development.
• Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies, evaluating their impact on Sisense.
• Manage R&D budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
• Recruit, develop, and retain top talent, building a high-performing R&D team.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10+ years of experience in a leadership role within R&D, preferably in a SaaS B2B product.
• Proven track record of successful product development and innovation.
• Strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
• Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and a track record of delivering complex, high-quality software solutions.
• Leadership qualities that inspire and foster teamwork and innovation.
• Customer obsession - putting the customer needs in the middle vs the technology we build.
• Proven experience with Data Analytics products - major advantage.
• Previous experience with developing products targeting SW developers - major advantage.
