Data Engineer

A global company that provides advertising solutions for advertisers and publishers. The company develops highly complex DATA systems that handle 5 billion requests per day, recommending its advertisement within 200 milliseconds for each request. It operates on 18 microservices and has two main centers: New York and Israel, with the majority of its technological teams located in Israel for development, support, and data. Each unit within the company was acquired independently and functions autonomously but complements the other.

This role involves being part of a team where 70% of the work is in Scala and the remainder in Python. They work with a technological stack including Python, Scala, AWS, Airflow, Redshift, Snowflake, and SQL.

They employ 200 people in Israel, totaling close to 550 worldwide. The company is headquartered in central Israel. Employees currently work remotely two days a week.

Experience:

• 2 Years of proven hands-on experience with big data solutions and frameworks in production (Spark, Flink, Hive etc.)

• Proven ability of writing complex SQL queries

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details

• Production grade experience of writing spark applications using Scala or Java
