Payments Fraud Specialist

Description

We are looking for a Payments Fraud Specialist to join our Payments team.

WHAT AM I GOING TO DO?

• Research and compile evidence and review appropriate documentation to validate transactions throughout the dispute process lifecycle.
• Assist with automation efforts and look for new opportunities to improve our processes.
• Support our external partners with the dispute representation process, and obtain and provide missing data (evidence).
• Navigate multiple systems to maintain accurate dispute/ CB status reports.
• Analyze the results of our internal fraud tool and improve our monitoring processes.
• Work with our Third party to minimize unnecessary declines, and improve success ratios. (reduce false negatives).
• Work effectively with internal partners including Customer Success, Risk, and Payments, to resolve escalations in various payment fraud incidents.
• Become the first Point of contact for payment fraud escalations through our Slack channels.
• Support special projects as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Up to 3 years of experience in payment dispute processing or risk operations.
• Good understanding of bank operations, industry trends & best practices, and the rules and regulations that drive the fintech industry.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate issues.
• Flexible curious nature, comfortable with rapid change.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to quickly adapt to new situations and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Superb attention to detail.
• High level of Excel.
• SQL - highly desirable.
• Disputes and Chargebacks Experience.
