Backend Team Leader

Intelos' proprietary mapping technology collect data from all available sources, including mobile devices, desktops, and private databases, using innovative methods to track varying predefined attributes from geographics to demographics, psychographics, and more.

We are seeking a dedicated Backend Team Leader to join our growing company.

Responsibilities:

·      Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of backend developers.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.

Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.

·      Technical Expertise:

Demonstrate proficiency in Java and Python programming languages.

Utilize Jira for project management, tracking, and reporting.

Manage and optimize SQL databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

·      Code Reviews and Quality Assurance:

Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.

Implement and enforce coding standards within the team.

Collaborate with the QA team to ensure rigorous testing of backend systems.

·      Development Methodologies:

Implement and champion agile or other development methodologies within the team.

Drive continuous improvement in development processes and workflows.

·      DevOps and Deployment:

Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure smooth integration of backend systems.

Oversee deployment processes and contribute to the development of automation tools.

Implement best practices for monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience leading and managing backend development teams.

At least 7 years of experience using programming languages, including Java and Python

Experience with Jira for project management.

At least 5 years of experience using Git.

In-depth knowledge of SQL databases and optimization techniques.

Familiarity with code reviews, quality assurance processes, and development methodologies.

Understanding of DevOps practices and experience with deployment processes.
