As a Deal Desk Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day support of our quote-to-order process and also ensure the smooth execution of some of our largest and most strategic opportunities. You will act as a key partner to Sales, Legal, Finance, and Accounting, managing deal formation and flow, and driving sustainable growth while reducing sales cycle times.
We’re looking for a proactive, curious, self-driven person with analytical abilities, sound business acumen and excellent communication and collaboration skills. You are expected dive into business challenges and work with your team to create solutions to problems that have never been tackled before.
Key Responsibilities
- Discount Approval: Review and approve or reject discount requests based on company policies, deal size, and other relevant factors. Ensure that discounts are in line with the company's overall pricing strategy and margin strategy.
- Deal Approval Process: Define and manage the deal approval process, which may involve cross-functional collaboration with sales, legal, finance, and other relevant teams.
- Sales Support: Provide guidance and support to the sales team throughout the deal negotiation process. Help sales representatives understand pricing options and the impact on deal profitability.
- Deal Structuring: Work closely with the sales and legal teams to structure complex deals that align with company policies and financial objectives. This includes determining offering structure, pricing, discount levels, and contract terms.
- Contract Review: Review and approve contracts to ensure they align with the deal structure and pricing. Ensure that contracts meet legal and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
- 4+ years experience in Deal Desk/Business Analysis/Sales management role
- Experience in dealing with complex, cross-functional deal/contract management across Sales, Finance and Legal
- Self-starter with high analytical and decision making skills.
- Strong structured problem solving skills along with ability to demonstrate practical judgment in complex situations
- Exceptionally strong communication skills, including experience effectively communicating with senior management
- Willing to work in a highly demanding and results-oriented team environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Graduate with Finance background and MBA in Finance or Economics degree (preferred).
