1E Theraputics is seeking a scientist to join our growing team. This role is responsible for being a subject matter expert with experience in synthesis and purification, have a good understanding of reactions and mechanisms and good at solving chemistry problems and developing/optimizing chemistry process.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, design, and execute, DS manufacturing process for oligonucleotides. Develop and implement optimization strategy of robust, scalable and cost-effective manufacturing routes while in compliance with all relevant regulatory standards
• Implementation of process controls
• Technology transfer of developed process to GMP production
• Solving challenging development/technical issues
• Design and perform stability studies
• Manufacturing of R&D batches to be used for pre-clinical studies
• Present data and participate in group discussions 
• Documents research using lab notebooks, prepare and/or review protocols and reports
• Keep up to organic chemistry knowledge by reading literature papers

Qualifications:

• Education - PhD in organic chemistry - Required

• Experience:
• Similar position in the industry- Advantage.
• Solid phase synthesis (peptide or oligonucleotide) or with nucleoside and nucleotide chemistry- Plus.
• Experience with ÄKTA™ systems - Advantage

• Other:
• High level of English
• Good capability of reports writing
• Strong teamwork skills
• Strong accuracy and organizational skills
