Electro-optics Engineer

We’re looking for an electro-optics engineer who will play a pivotal role in the optical design team. As an electro optic engineer, you will be responsible on the optical design of photonic solutions, defining fabrication tolerances and

overseeing optical R&D activities.

Your job includes, but not is limited to, the following tasks:

1. Optical design of our packaging solutions

2. Data analysis of fabricated optics. It will be your responsibility to point out fabrication challenges and verify that outputs meet the defined requirements.

3. Yield prediction and defining optical and mechanical tolerances.

4. Plan, supervise and extract conclusion from R&D lab experiments. It will be your responsibility to ensure that the lab

measurements are properly performed, flag problems and suggest solutions.

5. Interact with different departments and defining targets of the optical R@D process.

6. Interact with vendors and service providers.

Qualifications:

1. A bachelor’s or master’s degree in physics: Electro-optics / Applied Physics - a must.

2. Deep understanding of lenses and optical systems in terms of geometric optics and physical optics- a must.

3. A self- starter: ability to perform physical optical simulations with self-built tools and acquire new skills independently -a must.

4. Scripting and simulation capabilities in Python or MATLAB- a must. You will be required to acquire a command of Python.

5. High analytical and troubleshooting capabilities- a must.

6. Experience with optical simulations- a must. Experience with Zemax and/or Lumerical software- an advantage.

7. High mathematical skills- a must. Image processing skills- an advantage.

8. Lab experience- an advantage.

9. Teamwork abilities- a must
