Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer team leader with proven people management skills, strong technical and leadership skills.

You will have the opportunity to work on business-critical initiatives that directly shape the future of Microsoft Defender for Cloud business.

• Mentor and inspire a diverse team of software engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team, leading by example, assisting with architectural decisions, code reviews, and problem solving.
• Collaborate with product management, senior leadership, and stockholders to define project scope, break down requirements, and set goals and deliverables.
• Lead project development and agile release cycles end-to-end through idea inception, design and architecture, risk management, interim milestones, testing and monitoring, and public releases.
  
  

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software and Computer Engineering, or equivalent. 
• 3+ year of team management experience of 5+ engineers
• 8+ years of hands-on experience in Software Engineering
• Experienced in cloud environment or distributed programming and architecture.
• Experience in leading large development projects in complex environments with multiple interfaces. 
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
• Team player with strong communication, collaboration, active listening, and problem-solving skills.
• Passionate about dealing with “unsolved” problems and the ability to independently make solid progress by breaking new grounds.
