Sr. Power BI Developer

UCT Fluid Solutions Is a leading global company that develops, manufactures and markets innovative fluid controls solutions for various industries and looking for Sr. Power BI Developer.

You will lead and manage end-to-end development and Support UCT’s Enterprise Data Platform (EDP). Also, designs and develops creative and interactive data visualizations per UCT data visualization standards.

Be responsible for developing, capturing, and sharing solution architecture patterns, and best-practices knowledge that can be applied across domains and Manage Power BI Capacities Infrastructure.

You will work with Business stakeholders and users to assist design, develop and deliver their data models or self-service model and work with global Data Standards, structures, and processes to maintain global guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Build partnerships with key stakeholders and provide front line support for business requests from various functions/groups.
• Lead the design and development of data delivery solutions in various fields/domains.
• Participate in collaborative software and system design and development of BI and Analytics products using Power BI and the Power Platform
• Develop Enterprise Semantic Models (Tabular or Multi-Dimensional) to deliver a single source of data for Reporting.
• Develop Security and authentication standards for Power BI Solutions across organization the leverage Active Directory groups and row level security provided by Data Warehouse
• Lead for Self Service Analytics and build champion self-service across enterprise while making sure that design and implementation guidelines followed by Departmental team (IT/Business) through self-regulated community of practice and data sets and dashboard review and promotion or certification process.
• Develop Documentation and training materials to support data delivery organization.
• Experience building complete Power BI Service solutions including Storage, Governance, Security and different read/write access.
• Outline and participate in producing team deliverables including architecture, technical design documentation, standards, code development to high quality standards.
• Partner with Data Engineers, Data architects, domain experts, data analysts and other teams to build foundational data sets that are trusted, well understood, aligned with business strategy and enable self-service.
• Participate in data cleansing and migration effort to new system.
• Be part of the Global Data team and assist in the design, realize, test, implement, and support capabilities of UCT Data Requirements.

Experience Requirement:

• Must have total 8+ yrs. In IT and 4+ years’ experience working as a Power BI Developer or Data Analyst and 6+ years’ experience working in Data Visualization space.
• Must have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in end-to-end implementation of Power BI / Power BI Services.
• Experience in Hi-Tech and/or Semiconductor or manufacturing industry will be preferred.
• Experience On DAX, Power Query and Intermediate to high level SQL Skills.
• Experience in data modelling, designing data warehouse / data marts and reporting, dashboarding and advanced analytics solutions using Power BI.
• Experience designing Data pipelines (ETL/ELT), Datawarehouse and Data marts.
• Experience deploying enterprise grade Power BI solutions, including app and workspace management, performance optimization, advanced visualizations, and data transformations.
• Experience in creating tabular data models, Power BI data sets, Data Flows and working with millions of rows of data.
• Experience in building and managing workspace, premium capacities, and enterprise datasets in Power BI.
• Experience working in Agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Kanplan, etc)

Educational Requirement:

• BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Math, Business, Operations or similar.
• Certified Power BI / Power Platform certifications are strongly preferred.

Preferred knowledge & skills

• Deep knowledge in Data modelling, Semantic Modelling and reporting, dashboarding using Power BI, Microsoft Power Platform.
• Strong data visualization & story telling proficiency. Should possess the skills to represent complex data structures with requisite context without compromising aesthetics.
• Proficiency in RDBMS, complex SQL, PL/SQL, Unix Shell Scripting, performance tuning and troubleshoot.
• Provide resolution to an extensive range of complicated data pipeline related problems, proactively and as issues surface.
• Broad exposure to Data Visualization Tools: Qlik, Tableau, SAP Analytics on Cloud (SAC) etc.
• Functional Knowledge in areas of Sales & Distribution, Material Management, Finance and Production Planning preferred.
• Strong written communication skills. Is effective and persuasive in both written and oral communication.
