System Administrator Engineer

We are looking for highly talented Computing System Administrator to join our unique engineering team of building next-gen computing products that support the PDC full solution.

For This role, we are looking for a System administrator with knowledge in the world of automation development at Microsoft Windows (PowerShell) and at least basic knowledge in the LINUX world, knowledge of infrastructure, external storage, and in-depth knowledge in the world of operating systems, storage, networks etc.

Our Group - CNS (Computing Network Storage)

Applied Materials PDC (Process Diagnostics and Control) division designs, develops, manufactures and supports complex multidisciplinary machines for the semiconductors industry. These machines contain a large amount of Computing devices which includes servers, storages, network equipment etc.

The computing development group designs and develops the computing modules in the R&D phase, our unique team is a group of leading engineers which hold IT knowledge side by side with development capabilities. Amazing people willing to build the best future solutions.

What you'll be doing:

Gather requirements and transfer them into solutions, either by developing new solutions/platforms or support with changes to existing ones. this process requires extensive knowledge in the field of information systems, communication infrastructure and in-depth knowledge in the world of operating systems (Win and Linux) and automation, as well as knowledge in storage and network security.

This role contains:

• Convert requirements into design documents and present it (be able to present things in a technically clear way).
• Development & integration/validation of Computing solutions.
• Create and manage automation solutions using PowerShell and Linux Bash scripts / Ansible.
• Hardware and Infrastructure performance testing for end-to-end computing systems.
• Be able to create networking architecture and configuration.
• Create technical documents and procedures.

What should you have?

• MCSE / MCSA – Must
• At least 4-year work experience in the hi-tech industry as a System administrator - Must
• Fluent in PowerShell scripting - Must
• Hands-on experience in Linux administration, bash scripts and Ansible - Must
• Docker experience – advantage.
• Experience with Microsoft Server technology, including SQL Server, IIS, GPO, and Active Directory.

Ability to present technical things in clear manner.

• Experience in Storage systems (SAN/NAS).
• Technical writing experience.
• Experience in networking infrastructure and firewalls.
• Experience in Virtualization systems (HyperV, KVM).
• Independent, able to lead tasks without direct supervision.
