We are looking for a candidate with the ability to thrive in an environment with complex software and hardware designs, take part in the project planning, monitoring, and closing of a novel ophthalmic robotic platform. Responsibilities

• Design and develop a motion control system for a high-end surgical robotic platform.
• Design estimators and other signal-processing algorithms to support advanced robotic features.
• Work closely with the Embedded and Application SW teams in implementing various algorithms.
• Collaborate directly on a daily basis with the mechanical, hardware, and software teams, in resolving design challenges.
• Design under safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, PhD- an advantage.
• 5+ years of experience as Motion Control Engineer.
• MATLAB/Simulink or Python professional.
• Robotic experience - an advantage.
• Experience in working with industrial servo controllers – an advantage.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly without guidance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to work hard to meet demanding targets.
