Senior Technical Product Manager, Identity & Access Platforms

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) Platform Group is responsible for building and maintaining Chegg’s students journey of identity, access, and purchases preferences. Our mindset is centered around accelerating Chegg’s business growth by constantly optimizing key engagement points in Chegg’s checkout flows and day to day students’ experience, while ensuring the platform tech stack is with high efficiency, resiliency and best suitable for scalability.

Job Summary

Chegg is looking for an experienced Senior Technical Product Manager for our Identity & Access platforms. The ideal candidate will have experience in stakeholder management, be a true team player, have stellar communication skills (verbal, written, can leverage remote teams), and have the interest and curiosity to get hands-on with our technology teams.

The position entails being a contributing team member influencing the future platform capabilities for Student’s Authorization (access rights, fraud) and students Authentication (identity). You will serve as a vital connection point between local platform development teams and remote Product and business managers on the Global organization. The ideal candidate should be skilled at serving both Chegg’s students and Chegg’s internal teams, such as cross-functional teams (data science, native apps, web product teams, finance, accounting), for various business verticals.

Responsibilities And Requirements

• Work closely with remote product & business managers in/out of Israel to translate business and students needs into a clear roadmap and requirements for platform development teams, with end-2-end responsibility.
• Work with cross-functional product and engineering leaders to develop platform capabilities that help Chegg’s dev teams to move faster and focus on student experience.
• Own your platform product lifecycle, from discovery, definition, execution to launch & iteration.
• Define detailed use cases, product requirements, and technical specs needed to support roadmap initiatives.
• Participate and lead an agile development process, working closely with internal teams and multiple engineering teams.
• Identify broader issues and potential solutions, leveraging technical, company, and industry knowledge.
• Lead meetings, synthesizing information regarding progress toward objectives, concerns, and issues, providing all attendees the opportunity to participate.
  
  

Required Qualifications And Skills

• 4+ years of product management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent tech background
• Demonstrated industry knowledge and technical proficiency in user authenticating flows & user access flows including data security & fraud aspects.
• Experienced in leading end to end product lifecycle.
• Self-motivated; independent, organized, and proactive; highly responsive, flexible, and adaptable with growth mindset.
• Communicates to inform, share, improve, and maintain open dialogue.
• Strong communication skills; able to effectively influence team members.
