Role Description

We are seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to join Salesforce Service Cloud.

Team description

Within Service Cloud, our main mission is helping our customers to serve their customers at scale. We deliver mission-critical services for our customers to serve their customers across every touchpoints. We empower Service Agents with intelligent and personalized service experience. Focusing on Knowledge Base Management, you can contribute by helping agent to solve cases faster, enable customers to self-serve their needs, deliver answers across all channels.

The candidate must have the technical prowess to write fast and efficient code, deploy and integrate. The candidate has a deep interest and ideally experience in broad software platforms, including platform information architecture, information flow, the appropriate modularization and loose coupling, flexibility vs specialization, and optimization. The candidate embodies a can-do approach backed by accomplishments. In addition, this engineer needs to be passionate about new cool technologies and stay current with a broad range of industry trends and developments.

Your impact

• Architect, design, implement and tune robust components that perform and scale in a multi-tenant environment
• Master our development process, culture and code base, then improve it
• Write unit and functional automation to validate code quality
• Service ownership of the components and features your team owns
• Analyze and provides feedback on product strategy
• Contribute to long-range product requirements, best practices, and operational guidelines, with focus on continuous improvement of platform reliability and serviceability
  
  

Required Skills

• 5+ years of software development experience — Java preferred
• Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming and experience with at least one object-oriented programming language
• Proven understanding of web technologies, such as JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON.
• Outstanding attention to detail and communication skills
• Passion for learning and working with others to improve yourself, the team, the product, the company
• Ability to work in a distributed and fast pace environment
• Degree or equivalent relevant experience required. Experience will be evaluated based on the core competencies for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer roles, work experience, etc).
  
  

Desired Skills

• Experience building highly scalable web applications.
• Solid understanding of Database technologies such as SQL, PL/SQL and relational database schema design
• Knowledge of back-end systems and API’s, developer tools and compilers
• Experience in automated testing including unit and functional testing using Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium
• Experience with agile software development, and short release cycles
