Big Data Developer

A global company specializing in the realms of online marketing, this company boasts one of the world's largest advertising platforms. They have the capability to tailor the most suitable advertisement to viewers by processing millions of ads per second. Working with some of the biggest brands globally, the company's challenges include handling exceptionally large scales in real-time, efficient algorithmics, machine learning, all while the rapid growth pace dictates continuous upgrades and staying at the industry's forefront.

The role involves robust server-side development of a Big Data system, working with Scala and Java. They drive 6 million events per second through the system, involving extensive design work, building Big Data architecture from scratch, and facing numerous other challenges.

They operate within a technological stack that includes Kubernetes, Hadoop/Spark/Kafka, Grafana, InfluxDb, Kibana, Scala, and Java.

The Tel Aviv office, conveniently positioned near the railway, supports a flexible work structure. This setup allows their diverse global team of 1200 employees, with 180 based in Israel, to enjoy a hybrid work model, affording them the freedom to work remotely for three days, promoting a balanced work-life dynamic.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in Java/Scala development

• Proficiency in databases including Hadoop, Spark, Vertica, Flink, and MongoDB

• Experience with NoSQL solutions

• Strong experience with cloud services

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent education or relevant work experience.
