Bookkeeper

A medical devices company, located at Jerusalem, is in search of a bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeper will take care of all company day-to-day financial tasks. Will be responsible for both accounts payable and receivable along with all payroll and bank account management and reconciliation tasks. As a key member of the team, this role reports directly to the Controller.

Essential Functions

• Recording day-to-day financial transactions and completing the posting process.
• Reconciling sales taxes, payroll taxes, 401k, and bank accounts at the end of each month.
• Monitoring financial transactions and reports.
• Processing accounts receivable and payable.
• Working with an accountant when necessary.
• Handling monthly payroll using accounting software.

Ideal/Preferred Experience and Education

• Type 3 tax certificate in accounting.
• Excellent knowledge of general accounting principles.
• Knowledge of bookkeeping software, especially Priority - advantage
• 2-3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a biotech or hi-tech companies’ environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail and accuracy of work.
• Able to prepare, review and understand a financial statement.
• Must be an English speaker - advantage
• Knowledge and experience in US payroll - advantage
• Knowledge and experience in Excel - must
• Ability to work under pressure.
