Organizational Context and Position:

Established in 2004, MEET (the middle east entrepreneurs of tomorrow) is an educational excellence NGO that harnesses the power of technology and entrepreneurship to create an active network of young Palestinian and Israeli leaders who share a common professional language and capacity for joint action. In partnership with MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology), MEET delivers an intensive, three-year technology, entrepreneurship, and leadership education program that provides the tools and opportunities necessary to effect economic, social, and political change across the region. 

MEET has strong partnerships with the local tech industry, manifested via corporate support, employee volunteering and communication opportunities. In addition to partnering with the industry, MEET holds a leading position and partnerships within the Israeli-Palestinian ecosystem organizations. 

Scope of Position: Hourly

Job description:

• Teach 1.5-hour sessions a week in English to 20 students aged 15-16 via zoom with the possibility of teaching up to two physical events.
• Prepare for the sessions including going over lectures, handouts, and personal projects.
• Give students feedback on individual projects at the end of the semester.
• Document and provide feedback for each student at the end of the teaching segment.
• Coordinate with MEET staff to give the students the best possible, positive and challenging learning experience. 
• Serve as a role model for the students in exemplifying MEET values: strive for excellence, lead by example, embrace teamwork, act with integrity, think big, treat everyone with respect and equality.
• Encourage a comfortable self-guided atmosphere for students

Requirements:

• Fluency in English (required)
• Experience with entrepreneurship and social innovation (required) 
• Highly motivated and hardworking (required)
• Independent self-starter (required)
• Passionate about making an impact! (required)
• Prior experience in working with youth and teaching (an advantage)
