Payroll Specialist (Temporary Position)

We are looking for a motivated and dynamic Payroll Specialist to join our global payroll team for a temporary position, to support all payroll activities. While this position starts as temporary, for the right candidate, there's the possibility of extending it or exploring other opportunities within our organization.

What will you do?

• Effectively liaise with all relevant stakeholders (Recruitment, Product, Operations, HR and Finance) to ensure the payroll inputs are received accurately and on time for submission to our payroll provider.
• Process payroll for approximately 2000 (part of a team of 5 payroll specialists).
• Check payroll integrations have been processed successfully by our Payroll Vendor for starters, leavers, permanent/variable changes, and absence.
• Ensure all employees are paid in accordance with the payroll schedule.
• Ensure all registrations and statutory submissions are completed in accordance with legislation.
• Reconcile all tax and social security deductions, ensuring they are filed and paid accurately and on time.
• Manage and analyse our payroll data to ensure accuracy and provide key information to other teams in the business (e.g. Finance).
• Collate data from approved data submitters, ensuring it is duly authorised.
• Manage our People Portal (ticketing system) and respond to payroll queries timely and in a way that aligns with our values.
• Review output reports from payroll provider, ensuring that all instructions have been correctly interpreted and processed 100% accurately.
• Manage detailed payroll checklists and prepare them for review at submission, pre-approval, month end and quarter end stages.
• Check accuracy of GL outputs and manage query resolution.
  
  

Your Profile & Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of payroll experience including benefits administration in a fast paced environment.
• Experience working with Hilan's payroll platform
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• A strong team player with the ability to take initiative and lead by example.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexible approach to work, responsibilities and deadlines.
• Resilient, diplomatic and discreet.
• Maintains an up to date knowledge of all payroll legislation.
• High level of attention to detail with good analytical and numeracy skills.
