Part-Time DevOps Engineer

Byon IT Solutions is a well-established company providing KM technological solutions. We are a leader in developing and implementing high-performance AI and NLP based IR solutions handling large data volumes.

As we expand, we are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to enhance our technical operations and provide infrastructure support to our development and implementation teams.

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to manage both development and production Kubernetes environments on Azure cloud and on-premises. This role involves launching robust systems, implementing a new CI/CD process with comprehensive testing, and configuring advanced monitoring and alerting systems.

As a part-time member (70-90 monthly hours) of our dynamic IT team, you will play a critical role in optimizing our infrastructure and ensuring our services are both resilient and efficient. The role demands a blend of technical skills and the ability to work well within a team, alongside advisors and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

·          Launch and manage Kubernetes (K3S) environments on Azure cloud and on-premises.

·          Design and implement a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions, incorporating unit, integration, and end-to-end

testing.

·          Configure and maintain logging and alerting systems within Kubernetes environments.

·          Support and manage Helm charts and Kubernetes configurations including HPA, probes, Disruption Budgets,

resource management, and ingress controllers.

·          Handle basic network operations such as working with TLS certificates, load balancing, and HTTP/HTTPS

forwarding.

Technical Stack:

·          Docker and Docker-compose

·          GitHub Actions for CI/CD

·          Kubernetes (K3S) and Helm for orchestration and management

·          Azure cloud services

Mandatory requirements:

·          Israeli citizenship and fluent Hebrew.

·          5-7 years’ experience as a devop.

·          Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git-Ops principles, and various levels of testing and versioning.

·          Hands-on experience in managing and troubleshooting Kubernetes.

·          Advanced knowledge in configuring Kubernetes setups including resource quotas, replication, and security.

·          Demonstrable experience with GitHub Actions and Helm chart maintenance.

·          Proficiency in network fundamentals related to TLS, load balancing, and protocol forwarding.

Desirables Skills:

·          Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and data loss prevention strategies.

·          Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.

·          Familiarity with OpenShift, Hashicorp Vault, Postgres, Nginx, Minio, and Grafana/Prometheus.
