CTO for a new portfolio company

Lead the technological development in a breakthrough biotech field

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the CEO to develop, manage and execute the company’s R&D plan to meet company’s goals and milestones.
• Manage and lead R&D multidisciplinary teams to advance product development.
• Participate in defining company’s technological strategy & objectives.
• Develop and execute R&D plan from lab to industrial scale.
• Manage collaborations and partnerships with external entities including subcontractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Apply hands-on work when required in order to meet R&D project milestones and company goals.
• Adapt Development plans based on customer requirements.

Qualifications & Personal Abilities:

• Ph.D. in life sciences. plant science, plant genetics and microbiology preferably with expertise in process and product development.
• 5 -10 years’ experience leading R&D or other leading roles in R&D in the biotech, cellular agriculture and synthetic biology preferred from a startup.
• Experience in writing scientific documents: protocols, reports, and SOPs, according to industry practices.
• Experience in foodtech and food regulation- an advantage
• Experience in scaleup processes – an advantage.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in Hebrew and English.
• Proven leadership and management abilities.
• A team player, big thinker, value driven, passionate and professional person capable of leading a product from idea to scale.
