Job Description:

A VP of R&D Development assumes overall responsibility and accountability for the coordination, planning, development, and testing of product releases. This involves management and scaling up of R&D teams globally, as well as continuous improvement of the development and release methodologies.

Main Roles & Responsibilities:

Responsibility for the development and testing of product releases on time, in high quality, within budget, and within planned content. In addition, support and maintenance of old product releases.

Management of product releases from the point of initiation to successful completion, including coordination (with Product Management, Product Framework, and Professional Services), planning, and execution tracking.

Management of global R&D development, testing, and release management teams directly and in a matrix structure.

Drive & lead the growth of the R&D development teams in order to support business profitable growth.

Define & continuously improve the methodologies & practices of product development and release management, in a microservices architecture (and during the transition phase).

Enhance and improve teams’ performance to maximize teams’ effectiveness and achieve excellence.

Implement R&D strategies and consistently promote innovation and creative problem solving.

Job requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in leading R&D development teams in enterprise products that are subject to customization.
• Proven experience with microservice/distributed solution architecture.
• Proven experience with cloud products and platforms.
• A thorough understanding of advanced development methodologies and tools (Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, Microservices).
• Experience in leading teams globally. Ability to cultivate and grow teams in accordance with business needs.
• Experience of working in a matrix environment.
• Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to collaborate and resolve disagreements constructively through dialogue and creative solutions.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.
• Background in Fintech industry – advantage
