Optical System Engineer

Nova System Group is looking for a System Engineer to be responsible for a novel product throughout its product life cycle from the development phase to installation and support at customer sites, as part of a team.

What will you do as an Optical System Engineer?

• Technical definition and detailing of system high-level requirements (SW/HW)
• Need to have deep technical familiarity with the system
• Tool troubleshooting and root cause analysis capability, know the process flow and key domains
• Field escalation – define mitigations and plan for a full solution
• Perform feasibility according to R&D research process flow – Analytical conclusions deduction
• Technical expert go-to person for specific system domain
• Complete system operability capability - super user level
• Advance planning – feasibility plan, feature test, spec definition, TTS/TTP, tool work
• Task & Time management
• Clear understanding of end goal and scope in mind
• Prioritization understanding, bottleneck removal
• Full delivery closure – from HW/SW SRS via implementation to PRD/SRV – follow up
• Tool configuration and golden parameters, PRD/SRV training, SRV utilities
• Manage interfaces with peers – topics under your domain
• Resourcefulness – self-progression and issue mitigation
• Collaboration mindset with other departments (NPI, SRV, MRK)
• Proactiveness and manager escalation upon issue

Requirements

• BSc / M.Sc. in Physics/ Engineering (Electrical, Optics).
• 4-5 years of experience in multi-disciplinary system engineering - must
• MATLAB/Python hands-on knowledge
• Background in Optics - advantage
• Work in complex activities in project and matrix environments.
