Senior Mechanical Engineer - Platform Stabilizer (Volunteering)

Israel Tech Guard is an elite team of tech volunteers who have come together to provide new, tech-based solutions to the military and government. We gathered some of Israel’s top developers, programmers, scientists and engineers to help design, build, and launch life-saving products in the fastest way ever imagined.

We are looking for a senior mechanical engineer who can lead the design and escort the production of a passive or active stabilizer system for payloads.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the entire mechanical design process, from concept to detailed CAD design, considering critical factors such as precision, durability, and manufacturability.
• Provide technical leadership in designing and developing mechanical components for stabilizer platforms.
• Utilize advanced CAD tools for intricate 3D modeling and simulation.
• Oversee the development of prototypes, coordinating rigorous testing and analysis to validate and optimize mechanical designs.
• Conduct regular design reviews to ensure alignment across disciplines.

• Master's or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior-level mechanical design role, with a track record of leading successful hands-on projects.
• Expertise in complex 3D modeling and simulation using advanced CAD software.
• Strong understanding of control theorem, with one or more of the following: Optimal control, nonlinear control, H infinity, sliding-mode.
• Strong understanding of signal processing, mainly sensors.
• In-depth knowledge of motor and actuator integration in precision mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with camera technology, imaging systems, and optical design.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in the development and assembly of mechanical prototypes.
