Basic Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 7+ years of job experience in IT. Networking expert but with focus on multi-cloud, Azure cloud, and SDNET solutions. Hands-on experience in implementation and operation of VMWare NSX-T. Knowledge in Azure administration, including managing Azure resources, configuring security, and implementing governance.

Job Description

• Broad experience about network and security standards
• In-depth understanding of VMWare NSX-T key features like switching, routing, VRF, micro-segmentation, etc.
• In-depth understanding of Azure services, including virtual machines, virtual networks, storage accounts, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Security Center.
• Implement Azure security best practices and ensure that the Azure environment is secure and compliant with industry standards.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of Azure services and resources using Azure tools and technologies, such as Azure Automation, Azure Resource Manager templates, and Azure Functions
• Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to diagnose issues by working with cross-functional teams and external support. Strong troubleshooting experience in distributed environments.
• Problem-solving: Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues and provide efficient solutions.
• Implement and maintain security measures, including network security groups, firewalls, and access controls, to protect data and applications.
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for Azure resources.
• Stay updated with the latest features, services, and best practices, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Documentation: Strong documentation skills to create and maintain technical documentation.
• Understanding of network design principles VPN, Express route, Load balancing, Network watcher, Traffic manager, User define Routing, VNet, Configuring NSGs, and App Gateway, Scale sets, WAF, RBAC model, log analytics, VM (Windows & Linux),etc.
• Load balancing options, including Traffic Manager, Azure Media Services, CDN, Azure Active Directory, Azure Cache, Multi-Factor Authentication and Service Bus.
• Azure point-to-site (P2S) and site-to-site (S2S) VPN, understand the architectural differences between Azure VPN, ExpressRoute and Azure services.
• Azure Cloud-to-Cloud Integration (Public, Private), ability to design and plan migration paths.
• VMWare skills with focus on SDNET and security, handling of east-west traffic with NSX-T and integration into Fortinet platform
• Coordinate with vendors and required stakeholders to troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and ability to analyze technical problems to prevent future occurrence.
• Basic troubleshooting knowledge of networking and other IT Infrastructure services.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
• Should be willing to learn new technologies.

Preferred candidate:

• Tier 3 support person, responsible for escalations with severity 1 incidents.
• Notice period within 2 months.
• Relevant certifications in VMWare and Azure technologies are desirable.
• Working in a complex, enterprise environment with multiple, global data centers in collaboration with network, applications.
• Knowledge of ITIL best practices
