Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanical engineer in an R&D group, the position includes the mechanical design of multidisciplinary assemblies including the design of small and accurate mechanisms, optomechanical systems, structural chassis, sheet metal, electronic boxes, pneumatic systems, etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical design of small and accurate systems, structural elements, pneumatics systems, vacuum systems, sheet metal design and electrical cages, filtration systems and cooling systems deployed in a clean room environment.
• Design and execute experiments in our R&D lab.
• Perform mechanical and thermal simulations and analysis for design validation.
• Lead the mechanical aspects of the development process, present design reviews, and collaborate with team members from other disciplines, project management, product manufacturing, field support and suppliers.
• Supporting transfer to production, defining basic assembly and service instructions, working with the production line.

Skills And Experience

• BSc/MSc in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years of mechanical design experience
• Highly proficient in the use of CAD software – SolidWorks - must
• Experience with small and accurate mechanisms.
• Knowledge in Opto-Mechanical Design and/or Pneumatics is an advantage
• Experience with Mechanical, thermal and flow simulations and analysis for design is an advantage
• Experience with manufacturing technologies (Machining, 3D, Coating, Sheetmetal) – must
• Team player, well-organized, independent, and with a positive can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills both in Hebrew and English
