The opportunity

The Costing analyst will act as the finance business representative to provide targeted strategic insights across various elements and collaborate with multiple business units. The successful candidate will have to master all data platforms, have deep understanding in Costing elements and have the ability to transform data into information, information into insights and insights into business decisions.

How you’ll spend your day

• Support business decisions by providing ad hoc Costing analytics and assessments for potential Costing scenarios.
• Develop analytical processes, routines and tools to support Costing analysis and validation.
• Develop and lead improvement initiatives for sub-Costing processes or enhancements for existing Costing tools.
• Prepare, monitor and support all systems related to Costing performance.
• Own master data accuracy.
• Build partnerships and maintain strong collaboration with various stakeholders.
• Improve stakeholders understanding of Standard Costing on business performance and what impactful elements are related.
• Act as the single main focal point to IT and parallel interfacing systems partners whilst ensuring our needs receive priority and attention.
• Accountability on knowledge sharing platform, own training sessions and guidelines publishing.

Your experience and qualifications

• At least 2 years Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
• Academic degree – B.Sc statistics, B.A economics or equivalent.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Previous costing experience - advantage
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel) - advantage
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques - advantage
• Great TEAM player with positive vibes
• Ability to reach proactively beyond role responsibilities and contribute to drive various initiatives forward
• Independent problem solving thinker
• Strong communication/interpersonal skills
