Our payments team is growing and we’re looking for a talented Payment Operations Specialist to join us. The Payment Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of HoneyBook's payment systems, contributing to a high level of service for our customers and supporting the platform's growth and success.
Here are a few of the things you will do:
- Monitor and resolve ongoing payment collection and transaction flow issues within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and third-party partners to ensure HoneyBook customers receive the highest level of service.
- Assist in documenting the team’s operational procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency in payment operations.
- Lead and support ongoing financial projects such as tax reporting, audit queries, and financial reconciliation.
- Collaborate with fraud teams to investigate cases and improve HoneyBook's risk controls.
- Partner closely with Product and Tech teams to identify, prioritize, and drive payment improvements.
- Perform root cause analysis on complex payment issues to implement long-term solutions.
- Liaise with correspondent banks and third-party payment providers to address any issues related to payments.
- Track, analyze, and take ownership of key payment operations metrics. Influence and communicate insights to relevant stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
- At least 2 years in payment management in FinTech / Payment Service Provider.
- Understanding of all aspects of a payment transaction, from payment acceptance, reconciliation, dispute resolution, cross-border payments, and payouts.
- Detail-oriented personality who can dive into complex cases to find the root cause.
- Ability to drive the team to actions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks based on impact and sensitivity.
