Required skills:

• A strong portfolio is a must
• A keen eye for design and pixel-perfect UI
• Experience in illustration and proficiency in design tools such as Photoshop, Figma, Sketch, After Effects, or similar tools
• Experience in UX design and skilled in producing wireframes, mockups, and managing playtesting cycles
• Very strong communication and team dynamics skills, including the ability to present ideas clearly, take criticism constructively, and give practical feedback
• Good English, both spoken and written
• Strong task management skills, and ability to set and stick to deadlines
• Independent with the ability to work autonomously with minimal hand-holding

Advantages:

• Experience in the mobile game industry with at least 1 published game, especially casual mobile Match-3 games.
• Skills in animation, motion design, and/or special effects
• Experience with Unity to implement UI designs straight into the game engine, and understanding of technical constraints and asset optimisation
• Knowledge of the latest mobile gaming trends
• A never-ending passion for playing and making great mobile games

Responsibilities

• Work tightly with the COO (Chief Creative Officer) and the Art Director to lead all UI/UX aspects of the studio’s games
• Work closely with a cross-functional game team to define new UI concepts and wireframes, as well as implement designs for menus, icons, HUD elements, maps, and other in-game screens.
• Analyze player feedback, leveraging user research, psychological concepts, and behavior patterns, to incorporate insights into simple and effective UI design designs
• Create and maintain a unified UI to ensure consistency across all game features
• Create rapid sketches to communicate and test ideas, as well as prototype UI elements and transitions
