Lab Technician- Student position

Summary of role and team::

The lab technician position is for an entry-level candidate who will be trained to perform crucial lab tasks to support the R&D team, in particular, the lab scale bioprocessing work, such as bioreactor cultivation and filtration. This is a hands-on position, almost all of which is lab-based.

Your day-to-day:

• Building, autoclaving, and disassembling experimental equipment such as tubing assemblies, media bottles, filters, glass bioreactors, etc.
• Checking and maintaining inventory of lab materials and consumables
• Meticulous documentation of data
• Opportunities to learn other skills, such as:
• ­Cell counts and bioanalyzer data
• ­Monitoring and controlling bioprocess parameters
• ­Writing protocols and batch records
• ­Novel systems introduction
• ­Process optimization skills
  
  

• Biotechnology/Chemical engineering (or equivalent), BSc Student, with at least 2 years until graduation.
• Availability for 2-3 days a week including weekends (at least 18 hours per week)
• Willingness to do lab bench work
• Self-motivated, quick learner
• Positive team attitude and initiative
