About the position:
As Head of FP&A, you will be a wing-(wo)man to the CFO. Responsible for all planning processes, including annual budgets, monthly forecasts, long-range business plans, and financial analysis. This role will report to the CFO and drive business insights and continuous improvement while bringing a quantitative, data-driven mindset, and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial planning: Take charge of developing and managing the annual budgeting process and ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
• Forecasting and reporting: Design and develop monthly reporting packages including comprehensive Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reporting, unit economics, and operational dashboards.
• Financial analysis: analysis of key business trends, actual versus budget variances, and comprehensive executive-level explanations of differences
• Strategic decision support: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial analysis for strategic projects, investment decisions, and business cases.
Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance from an acknowledged university
• Full English proficiency
• At least 10+ years in FP&A or similar financial roles. The preferred candidate is a self-starter who has been involved in building an FP&A function before (startup or growth-stage company).
• Excellent financial modeling and data analysis skills coupled with strong business understanding and ability to identify data anomalies, trends, or deviations and introduce strategies for improvement.
• Ability to juggle multiple projects with rapidly shifting priorities, leverage best practices wherever they may be generated, and proactively seek and suggest better ways of getting things done.
• Well-organized with strong time management skills and attention to detail; follows through on multiple projects and juggles conflicting priorities in a fast-paced and changing environment; sets and meets deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively within the organization and bring people along.
• Comfortable with a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, and enjoys being part of building a business together.
