Get SAT is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer who is seeking their next technological challenge to join our R&D department.

As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will play a vital role in the development of multi-disciplinary products for satellite communications.

Responsibilities:

• Mechanical design from concept formation through simulations to prototype assembly and integration.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, software engineers, and manufacturing professionals.
• Utilize advanced simulations and analysis tools to optimize mechanical designs, ensuring compliance with stringent performance, reliability, and safety standards.
• Plan and execute validation and verification tests to validate design functionality and performance.
• Analyze test results, identify areas for improvement, and implement design enhancements to optimize product performance and efficiency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering - must
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical design within a multi-disciplinary environment - must
• Extensive knowledge and expertise in various manufacturing technologies - must
• Experience with mass production and design-to-cost practices - advantage
• Previous involvement in developing avionics and equipment for aviation use - advantage
• Familiarity with demanding standards such as AS9100, MIL-STD-810, and DO-160 - advantage
• Experience with Heat Transfer systems - advantage
• Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills - must
