Controller - Maternity Leave Cover

MyHeritage is looking for a Controller (maternity leave cover) to join our finance team with the possibility of being offered a permanent position.

As a controller you will have an important role in the accounting operations of the company, production of periodic financial reports, and maintenance of accounting records. You'll hold a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with US GAAP.

This is a hands-on position. You will report to the director of finance and have a valuable role in the month-end and year-end closing process.

What You'll Do

• Review and oversee the preparation of corporate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the quarterly and annual audit.
• Maintain, review, and oversee billing and revenue cycles to ensure proper revenue recognition policy and books reconciliation.
• Manage the AR reconciliation process.
• Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance.
• Create variance analysis reports and financial models.
• Participate in a variety of tasks and ad hoc projects as needed.
  
  

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA designation
• Minimum two years of auditing experience at a BIG4 firm — must
• Minimum two years of working experience in a high-tech company — advantage
• Hands-on and diligent with close attention to detail
• High level of analytical and professional skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to prioritize workload
• Ability to rely on experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent English (spoken and written)
• Proficiency with SAP — advantage
