M.Sc./Ph.D. student

The Technion Complex Fluids Research Group seeks a highly motivated student with a strong background in fluid mechanics interested in pursuing an M.Sc. or Ph.D. and studying the fluid mechanics of complex non-Newtonian fluids.

Responsibilities

• Manage a multidisciplinary and theoretical research project from conception through publication.
• Acquire new skills and knowledge as required to carry out the research project.
• Meet weekly for updates on progress and discussions.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering, Physical Sciences, or Applied Math.
• A strong and proven background in fluid mechanics is required.
• A proven background in theoretical modeling is an advantage.
• A proven background in non-Newtonian fluid mechanics is an advantage.
• First-author publication in a scientific journal is an advantage.
• A proven experience in numerical simulations (e.g., COMSOL) is an advantage.
• Ability to read scientific literature.
• Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
• Ability to take initiative and work independently.
• A love and passion for scientific research.
