Procurement Supervisor

1. Responsible for management, operation and tracking of overseas procurements: Opening supplier accounts in system, placing orders and obtaining import certificates, and overseeing export shipments, transportation, payments, assistance in developing the import system, etc.
2. Tracking of import shipments: Providing a username and password to those ordering from overseas websites, tracking the international shipment and shipments arriving by various couriers, etc.
3. Negotiations with suppliers on terms of payment, discounts, agreements, security checks, shipping terms and purchase terms depending on the types of details and continued approval process.
4. Clearance of shipments from customs and handling the transport of the goods from Israel’s ports to BGU and to BGU warehouses.
5. Tracking and processing payments to overseas suppliers and customs agents: Making payments on credit, etc.
6. Management and follow-up of overseas orders until they are closed: Checking accounts of the customs agent, transferring the necessary documents to charge the import file.
7. Management of relations with outside entities: Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Agriculture, etc.
8. Support and assistance of the department purchasers.
9. Carrying out other tasks under the direction of the supervisor.

Job Requirements:

1. .Academic degree.
2. Four years’ experience in the relevant fields.
3. Very good command of the English language.
4. Work experience in import, procurement and purchasing.
5. Experience in conducting negotiations.

Note: Non-routine work hours required.
