We started with the world's best way to put photos on walls. Then we got into art and built the world's best art service! And now, we are excited to present easyplant - An exciting product that is helping people to fill their homes with beautiful long-living plants and improve the way we all live and breathe.

Meet easyplant - who we are?

As part of our mission to make home design frictionless, we understood that plants are the worst home design product that dies constantly. We knew this is an engineering issue and we forged our focus towards a mission to prevent plants from dying. Hence, we invested 2 years and developed a self-watering system that prevents plants from dying.

The adoption rates of the product in the market are just phenomenal and we are accelerating our activity which is increasing our need for a top-notch Head of R&D to build the next generation of easyplant combining integrating technology with nature.

This is an amazing opportunity to join the core team of a new, promising startup, that operates under the umbrella of "Mixtiles", one of the largest Israeli consumer companies.

What will you do?

• Constantly assess product’s quality and identify product's pain points
• Dive deep into customer feedback to identify the pain points
• Plan and execute remediating actions to those points
• Leverage technology to enhance easyplant's longevity and user experience
• E2E new product initiation process ownership
• Ideate and prototype the next generation of easyplant products
• Define product requirements
• Compile 3D and 2D drawings to communicate production plans
• Build prototypes of your ideas
• Coordinate with manufacturers and handle sourcing activities
• User testing
• Manufacturing plan and book
• Manage the physical R&D team and engage with partners, agencies, and freelancers

Who should you be?

• At least 5 years of physical product R&D experience
• Experience with building IOT solutions is an advantage
• Building a mass market product from 0 to 1 is an advantage
• Passionate physical R&D leader with a drive to integrate physical products with tech
• Fast mover - work fast, meat deadlines, and find smart shortcuts to get the work done
• Agile in thought and action, ready to pivot as needed
• Analytical - comfortable with numbers and analytics
• Strong communication skills - presentation, verbal, and written
• Excellent verbal and written english
• This role is full-time, based at the Tel Aviv office.
