Global Automation Engineer

In this role you will be highest professional in the organization for the areas of control and automation. Develops control and automation software for new projects, data exchange interface with production lines, troubleshooting support.

Responsibilities

A. Providing a response as a primary professional authority in the field of control and automation.

B. Responsible for implementing a cyber security policy in the field of OT in the company.

    Works in collaboration with the OT network manager and installs software on new computers.

C. Planning and maximizing the capabilities of automation and control systems for improving the production process, renewing equipment, and upgrading it.

    Identifies weaknesses and risks in automation and control systems and offers solutions to minimize the risk.

    In-depth knowledge of the hardware of Siemens and Omron controllers: processors, input, output and analog modules.

    Identifies obsolete and phased out hardware and offers an upgrade.

D. Project management in the fields of control and automation. Configuration of command-and-control system assemblies, software and hardware combinations.

   Setting up an automation, command, and control system in collaboration with an electrical engineer.

   Configuration of controller and command and control system.

   Hardware selection.

   Writing the controller software including hardware configuration in Simatic software.

   Building and programming HMI interfaces in operating panels and OT computers.

E. Monitors of process data and analyzes the results. Initiates performance improvement.

   Daily inspection of process data and activity faults in production lines.

F. Interface with IT systems of the company.

   Planning data exchange between OT systems and IT systems.

    Defining interfaces between OT and IT.

G. Providing a professional support for troubleshooting at production sites.

Qualifications

A. Automation and Control Engineer/electrical engineer.

B. At least 7 years of experience in the industry.

C. At least 5 years of experience programming Siemens controllers.

D. Experience in Wonderware / InTouch programming.

E. Experience programming Omron controllers is an advantage.

F. Experience with Siemens SInamics / MasterDrive speed controllers and electric drives is an advantage.

G. English at a high level.

H. Excellent interpersonal skills.

J. Knowledge and experience in Simatic, Starter, WinCC, ProTools, TIA portal, InTouch software
