Business Intelligence Team Lead

We are seeking a dynamic BI Team Leader to join the data and technology department at a leading company. This exciting role offers the opportunity to lead a team of approximately eight developers/analysts and play a pivotal role in driving the company's data-driven strategies.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage and oversee a team of developers/analysts, reporting to the department manager.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of the team's work plans to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
• Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including users and business units across the organization, to gather requirements and align data-driven solutions with business objectives.
• Collaborate with technological interfaces within and outside the department to ensure seamless integration of data and systems.
• Orchestrate the development of cutting-edge processes, collecting and processing data from various systems and uploading it to the Data Warehouse (DWH).
• Take ownership of the availability and ongoing operation of systems under the team's responsibility, implementing process improvements and fault monitoring to maintain optimal performance.
• Effectively manage work routines, tasks, and team goals, ensuring alignment with the overall objectives of the data and technology department.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of proven experience leading a BI/data team of at least four employees (developers and system analysts).
• Proven experience working in a corporate DWH environment within a large organization.
• Demonstrated expertise in BI systems analysis or ETL development, including knowledge of data modeling principles and practices.
• Proficient in managing team tasks, prioritizing effectively, and ensuring timely project completion.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Adept at handling multiple interfaces and projects while maintaining focus and prioritizing key tasks.
• High analytical ability and strong business acumen to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
• Systems thinking and the ability to comprehend complex processes and their interrelationships.
• Excellent presentation skills, with experience in delivering clear and impactful presentations to convey messages effectively.
• Preferred: Experience in the field of insurance and knowledge of ETL development with informatics tools.
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and tools.
