VP Finance

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Finance to lead our financial operations with an emphasis on building and managing budgets, PNL, cash flow, and team development. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in high-level financial roles in either a small to medium-sized company or as a Director or Head of Finance in a larger organization. This role requires a high level of commitment, accounting expertise, and experience working with SaaS providers, including payment gateways such as MESH and PAYAM.

Key Responsibilities:

• Budget Construction and Management: Develop and oversee comprehensive budgets, ensuring alignment with the organization's financial goals.
• Profit and Loss (PNL): Manage and analyze PNL statements, making data-driven recommendations for financial growth.
• Cash Flow Management: Ensure the organization's financial stability through effective cash flow management and liquidity planning.
• Team Leadership: Recruit, build, and mentor financial teams, including accounting and treasury, while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
• Financial Recruiting: Lead recruitment efforts for financial roles, including accountants and financial analysts.
• SaaS Vendor Relations: Collaborate with SaaS providers and payment gateways like MESH and PAYAM to optimize financial operations and vendor relationships.
• Remote Team Management: Demonstrate experience in managing remote financial teams, ensuring efficient communication and productivity.
• Taxation Expertise: Utilize a strong understanding of taxation to manage tax compliance, reporting, and planning.
• US GAAP: Apply knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to maintain financial transparency and compliance.
  
  

• Proven experience in VP-level or Director of Finance positions in small to medium-sized companies or a Director/Head of Finance in a larger organization
• Ability to commit to the role at an 80% capacity
• Expertise in budget construction, PNL analysis, and cash flow management
• Demonstrated ability to build and lead financial teams, including accounting and treasury functions
• Strong familiarity with SaaS vendors and payment gateways, such as MESH and PAYAM
• Experience in managing remote financial teams
• Background in taxation with the ability to navigate complex tax compliance
• Knowledge of US GAAP is a plus
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
