R&D Integration and Application Development Engineer

About The Position

We are looking for a creative and ambitious engineer with an orientation to integration and application development, who will be responsible for the development and implementation of the next generation of smart glass solutions.

The scope of work includes novel application development through understanding and approving current and new smart glass technologies for market readiness.

Responsibilities

• Research, develop and implement testing procedures to measure the stability and durability of materials and formulations.
• Develop and execute integration of films into smart glass products and test the quality of final products.
• Characterize product performance over time, product storage conditions, and full product mapping.
• Perform materials and film characterization using a variety of techniques (electro-optical, DSC, Refractive index, etc.)
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful development and launch of smart glass products.
• Collaborate with customers and partners to address and improve current products.
• Participate in meetings with customers and partners to share the R&D team’s perspective.
• Stay up to date on the latest standards and regulations for smart glass products.
• Creation, documentation, and organization of scientific database & analysis
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  
  

• M.Sc. in materials / chemistry / physical chemistry / polymer chemistry , alternatively B.Eng/M.Eng in material engineering / chemical engineering
• 2+ years’ experience in industry – advantage
• Experience with UV curing materials, formulation development and processes – Advantage
• Experience in a laboratory environment – hands-on work
• Knowledge in optical physics, electricity, and capacitors – Advantage
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Positive, self-learner, proactive, independent, and a ‘can do’ attitude
