About The Position

Gauzy is looking for a talented Controller to join our Finance Department. If you are a hands-on, highly motivated to lead changes and a team player Gauzy is the right place for you.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enforce SOX and internal controls to enhance the protection of the company’s assets, policies, procedures, and workflows
• Identify and assess areas of significant business risk
• Plan, develop and implement new financial working processes and procedures within the finance and other departments
• Develop and maintain business process narratives and flowcharts
• Perform walkthrough and risk assessment with processes owners to assure adequate control design and identification of key controls
• Play a key role in the month-end, quarter, and year-end closing process
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to the finance management team by evaluating, analyzing, and alerting upon the need
• Provide support to the bookkeeping team
• Work with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audits
• Undertake ad-hoc corporate financial tasks
  
  

• CPA with experience in SOX – must
• Background from one of the BIG 4 firms – must
• Experience with public company environment – must
• Knowledge with US GAAP – advantage
• Proficiency with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act 404 and internal controls concepts
• Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving approach, detailed oriented and well organized
• Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization
• A quick learner with the capacity to work under pressure and for long hours when necessary in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
• Excellent English (writing and speaking)
