Senior Process Development Engineer - FoodTech Factory (2211)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Process Development Engineer, Experienced in Development installation and setup of production lines, to join the company's passionate team. In this position you will play a crucial role in scaling up and mechanizing the food manufacturing technology. This is an exciting opportunity to work in the heart of the FoodTech thriving startup ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to scale up and mechanize the production processes.
• Work with external consultants and machine suppliers to source and expand the company's production lines and processes.
• Create detailed process and machine specifications, including rates, energy requirements, infrastructure costs, FTE requirements, and identification of process bottlenecks.
• Conduct techno-economic modeling to assess the viability of the factory's processes and compare them with competing alternatives.
• Manage technical procurement and engage independently with suppliers and consultants, both locally and abroad.
• Oversee the entire process from raw materials to finished product, including project management, planning, and Bill of Materials (BOM) management.
• Prototype technical solutions for other teams, utilizing the in-house workshop for hands-on prototyping of jigs, machine hacks, simple electronics, and mechanics.

Background and Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience as a process engineer or technical operations manager in manufacturing and multidisciplinary projects.
• Experience in Development installation and setup of production lines.
• Experience working in the food industry is an advantage.
• Excellent technical acumen, with a passion for innovation and the ability to thrive in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong project management and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Proven experience in managing industrial machinery suppliers and external consultants, including international engagements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English.
