NewPhotonics is disrupting data centers processing with novel photonic engines solving the power and performance challenges. We are looking for a part-time Technical Writer who is passionate about working in a collaborative and innovative environment. The candidate should be a dynamic individual who has demonstrated success in both technical content creation and project management.

The successful candidate for this position has a track record of strength and aptitude relevant to the following areas:

Create clear, effective, user-focused technical documentation for highly technical audiences.

Manage multiple projects through shifting priorities and deadlines.

Understand and promote usability and product goals.

Create standard documentation templates advancing NewPhotonics datasheets, application notes and supporting product collateral.

Promote cross-team collaboration and engagement among engineering subject matter experts, marketing, and technical support staff.

Requirements

Five or more years of writing technical documentation, including supporting a major silicon and software product or product suite.

BA in Technical Communication or a technical field (Engineering, Computer Science).

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and other tools for automating document generation.

Excellent writing, copyediting and communication skills.

Ability to digest raw internal technical data and specifications and clearly organize and convey information in a highly polished and efficient format.

Familiar with HTML, CSS, Markdown, and other web technologies for online documentation.

Ability to deliver accurate results with aattention to details and quality.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

·        Success working in a startup company environment.

·        Experience with optical/photonic products
